XXIV Congress of the Italian Society of Ecology S.It.E. "The Ecology today: Accountability and Governance"   - Ferrara, 15-17/9/ 2014

As part of the XXIV Congress of the Italian Society of Ecology (S.It.E) entitled "The Ecology today: Accountability and Governance", organized in collaboration with the Department of Life Sciences and Biotechnology (SVEB) of the University of Ferrara, LIFE + Making Good Nature has participated with the intervention "Engaging stakeholders to improve the management of Natura 2000 sites valuing Ecosystem Services."

The Natura 2000 network is the main instrument to achieve the objectives of conservation of species and habitats of Community interest and to safeguard the ecosystem services, as required by the European Strategy for Biodiversity.

The resident population and economic operators may prevent or promote the achievement of the conservation objectives of the Network in relation to their perception of the land, its relative resources and ecological functions.
