Management, monitoring and communication

E1 General management and project coordination

During the kick-off meeting on the 2nd October 2012, the project partners have established the project management groups which are: the technical management group and the coordination board. These two groups will work together in order to guarantee an efficient and flexible management of the project activities. To the coordination board belong one scientific manager, one communication manager and one administrative manager of each partner. There will be at least 6 meetings during the project duration to share experiences and monitor the partners' ongoing activities.

E2 Steering committee

Aim of the steering committee is to create a connection between the coordination board and all potential project beneficiaries, united in a users committee, like Ministries co-financing the project , local authorities as well as trade associations (e.g. farmers) which are interested in its impact. Because of their strategic needs, these users are involved, on a local scale, in the model improvement. The activities connected to the steering committee are mainly two. The users committee on the one hand works out observations about how to improve the actions’ results in accordance with the users’ needs and expectations, and on the other hand keeps the coordination board informed about new institutional and political requirements as well as new programs with which the project could interact. The second important activity aims at creating an efficient communication channel to the stakeholders in order to keep them informed about the project progress and results.

E6 Networking activities with similar experiences at European level

The development of a network and the participation in it is considered very important by all partners. For this reason both technical (EURAC, WWF, WWFRP) and local partners (RL, ERSAF, DRARF, PNP, PNCVD and PARCOSASSO) will have a hand in this activity. Such a network will be developed also in the framework of other LIFE projects as well as further projects dealing with the same matter. Hence, the aim of this action is the organization of an international web-based network which will follow each partner from the project beginning and will continue existing after the project’s end.
